Did you know that Link’s Awakening had some censored content in America?
Back in the days, Nintendo of America had really hard content restrictions. The most famous example is the bloodless Mortal Kombat version. But Link’s Awakening was censored as well.
In the game you’ll face a character named Schule. This cute little hippo paints a picture in the game. But did you ever noticed that this character has been censored?
In Japan players were treated to a tasteful nude little hippo. For the American version of the game, the hippo had to wear clothing.
