A few hours ago at Disney’s D23 Expo, Square Enix and Disney have released a new trailer for the highly-anticipated Kingdom Hearts III. The trailer shows off a new world that hasn’t been featured in previous KH titles, which is Toy Story. This is the first world in the entire franchise that takes place in a movie universe that was designed by Pixar. Woody and Buzz Lightyear, Toy Story’s main characters, introduce themselves to Sora, Donald and Goofy who have been transformed into toy-like figures. They then battle Heartless while showing off new Drive Forms and even a mech suit that Sora can take control of. Check out the trailer below.
By the way, the title of this article is not a trick your mind is playing on you. The trailer ends with the reveal that KHIII is set to release sometime in 2018. We finally know when we can play the game. However, remember that this game is directed by Tetsuya Nomura, the same guy who partially directed Final Fantasy XV, which had numerous delays.
