Microsoft is warning players that they can’t play Modern Warfare 3 before the official release date. If they do so, they risk being banned, says VideoGamer.
Xbox Live-policymanager, Stephen Tolouse, was encouraging the early players via Twitter, yesterday.
“If your game is original and legal, have fun. It’s a good game.”
Nine hours later, he posted a message that’s the opposite of his earlier statement.
“For clarification: I did a doublecheck with Activision and playing MW3 before the release is not allowed. Be patient, early playing could have consequences for you account!”
The eight edition of the FPS-series, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, is in stores November 8th.
if you can’t wait for the official release thats sad i think. to play that 1 extra day…
you’re right! just a waste of money…
This could be devastating for that guy who payed over £1000 for an early copy of the game.
I’d say that’s just being stupid… Who pays over £1000 for a game? –‘
