NEWS: Halo 4 multiplayer details

343 Industries is working very hard to make Halo 4 one of the best games in the franchise.

They’re putting a lot of effort into the game and the multiplayer will have its own innovations as well.

Halo 4 is the first game in the Halo-franchise that is being developed by 343 Industries. Recently, the studio already released a few details about the game. The game will probably also be the center of attention on Microsoft’s E3 press conference (June 4th).

The multiplayermode of Halo 4 is different from the multiplayer modes from previous Halo games in multiple ways.

The most important element that has been added to Halo 4, is the Spartan Ops mode. This is a co-op game mode in which players have to execute missions together. Different from the Spec Ops mode from MW3 is that the missions appear to be connected to each other. The story is split in episodes, that will probably be available every week. 343 Industries did confirm that these missions are not DLC’s. They are included in the price of the normal Halo, but you just have to download them every week.

343 Industries also upgraded the classic Halo multiplayer modes. They are introducing Spartan Points, with which you’ll be able to buy gear and abilities. New amongst the abilities is the Forerunner Vision, which allows players to see through walls. The Hologram, Jetpack and Active Camo also return.

The way you get weapons is also new. You no longer find them on the map, they just land on random places in Drop Pods. That way, 343 Industries hopes to take care of the ‘Weapon Camping’.
