Batman: Arkham World will not be the new project of developer Rocksteady. Warner Bros. says that the reference to the game during Spike TV’s Video Game Awards was just a joke.
Saturday, a CGI-version of The Joker collected the prize for best game character.
During his short speach, he was carrying a script for Arkham World. “Woops, I spoiled the surprise,” said The Joker. On that moment, it wasn’t clear if it was a joke from Warner and Rocksteady or if we really had had a taste of the sequel for Arkham City.
“The reference during the speach of Rocksteady was only meant as a joke,” said the spokesman of Warner to website VG247. It looks as if we might have to wait a bit longer for news about a new Rocksteady-project.
