We start the third day of our Legend of Zelda month with another fact.
This time it’s time to reveal the secret behind the sentence: “Keep it a secret to everybody.”
“Keep it a secret to everybody.” Was first said in the original The Legend of Zelda game on NES. The sentence was said to Link by the Moblins that wanted to give him some rupees.
Nothing special at first sight, but the exact same sentence is used in different Zelda games as well:
- In a Link to the Past it is said by the man in the desert.
- In Ocarina of Time you can bribe the guard only if you keep it a secret to everybody.
- In Majora’s Mask Kafei asks Link to keep their conversations secret.
- In Twilight Princess it is said by the Goron on the balcony of the Central Castle Town.
