Outright Games is back with a new game and this time it’s Jumanji: Wild Adventures, delivering an original story set in the same universe as the recent movie.

Jumanji: Wild Adventures is an upcoming game from Outright Games and if you don’t know who they are, let me tell you the most important thing you’ll need to know. Outright Games is known for bringing iconic franchises to video games but focuses on a younger targeted audience. Sure, you can enjoy their games as an adult and fan of the franchise too but it’s most fun if you’re new to the gaming scene. Fun is what it’s all about and that’s noticeable from the very start of this Jumanji game. The world map isn’t a boring screen, it’s an interactive board on which you can drive around and explore with your small car. There even are some hidden secrets, motivating players to explore as much as possible. A nice little touch which I certainly appreciated. Of course, the game isn’t about just you driving around on a map, it’s a multiplayer adventure with fun missions!
Explore and clear some missions
On the board, you’ll enter the levels of the game, all with their own requirements of completing them. I played a level where I had to platform my way while trying to avoid traps and was tasked to defeat all the enemies. The best part was that I was joined by two developers of the game. It’s a co-op game with up to four playable characters, which makes this the perfect game for parents who want to play with their kids. The action and combat are all pretty basic but work as well as you would hope. A big part of the game is exploration. There are tons of hidden treasures and collectibles that you would easily miss if you’re not out there exploring. I played it for fifteen minutes but certainly had a lot of fun doing so. Again, it’s not a game for the hardcore gamer but it’s a very fun game for the younger Jumanji fans.
Early conclusion:
Jumanji: Wild Adventures is everything you would hope for if you’re looking for a co-op adventure that’s suitable for the younger gamer.
