Indie Corner: Tanks Meet Zombies

Welcome to our review of the twin stick shooter called Tanks Meet Zombies, out now on Nintendo Switch!

Dress up as an Assault Armored Vehicle and prepare yourself to speed date, we mean destroy, hordes and hordes of undead humans, bears, spiders and more! Join with up to 3 more friends and get ready to wreak havoc, it will be a BLAST!

Tanks Meet Zombies is basically a party game too, so expect to get the most out of this title by playing with your friends, as a single player, this game is nothing but a disappointment.

Sure, you get to drive around a tank and mow down zombies. Finish the random waves of inbound enemies to fight off the boss. But that is also where it ends. There is very little to say about this game really. You got a set of guns, they overheat and take time to cool down before you get to fire some more.

A very basic idea in a small level with typical cartoon style backgrounds. While in itself, it looks quite fun and all, it is a little slow on the action and sigh, it just is not fun. At least not in single player mode. Even the other modes could not tempt me to keep playing. This game is slow and just no fun at all. The only thing that stands out, is that you can personalize a lot!

More and better weapons, other ways to take down zombies and more. Not enough to keep you invested in this game, but yeah, you get the point. I tried multiplayer with some friends, but we did not play a very long time. The majority of players said there were too many better games out there and well, that is where I stand with my opinion as well.

In conclusion, there are soooo many better and more interesting party games out on every console, not just on Switch, that are a hundred times more interesting. Tanks Meet Zombies just falls short of being a fun game and left me with anything but a lasting impression. Maybe a speedup of the action might improve this game, but I honestly would not go for another try.

I rarely do this, but this game is being uninstalled as I write this review. I just can not consider this game anything else but a filler and recommend checking out the eShop for others and probably better games!
