Your mission? To succeed where the police and army failed by clearing the streets of 8 different strains of bloodthirsty zombies and stop Armageddon in its tracks!
For cool and unimportant reasons these suckers literally explode when shot, showering their zombie brethren with gore and causing chain reactions of showering zombie gibs with just a single bullet!
Use your sharpshooting skills to vanquish 100 branching levels of zombie hell across 40 unique environments in this hugely addictive chain reaction shooter. Earn 400 shiny medals and cold hard cash to buy 100 different upgrades, all designed to MAKE THOSE ZOMBIES EXPLODE!
OMG Zombies! is an awesome reimagining of a genuine classic: the critically acclaimed OMG-Z! The guys at Push Square gave it 89% and called it: “a must buy” game. Escape Rope claimed it’s: “…one of the best zombie games in recent memory” and Defunct Games gave it an A rating saying it’s “so addictive… I still can’t get enough of watching the explosive chain reaction caused by a well-placed bullet.”
This even newer and ‘improved-er’ OMG Zombies! features a brand new sniper scope view, improved touch control, a fast-forward feature, instant restart feature and all the zombie-splattering action you could ever want! Get your trigger finger at the ready!
OMG Zombies is quite a silly game, you would not expect it to be a puzzle game nor would you expect it to be a rather addictive game to boot! I got the review code from the developer for this article and I must say, I would not have bought it prior to playing but I sure would buy it now!
In short, you fire at the hordes of zombies, they all have their own way to go down and once you tackle the puzzle to take as many as possible, you can go to the next level or aim for a better score. While each zombie has its own way to explode or perish, they will set off a chain reaction and it’s your job to get as many kills as possible.
Chain reactions are the puzzle aspect of this game, do you take the shot on a zombie that will run after a hit or just explode or even fire off a bullet? I can tell you one thing, this game is quite ingenious in more than one way. It looks bad but plays awesome, my usual credo of graphics do not make the game is proven once again! OMG Zombies is awesome in more than one way.
Once you are raking in the bucks, you will be using them to upgrade your weapons, I instantly opted to get a bonus shot so I was able to fire off 4 bullets instead of 3. Shortly after, upgraded many other options so I would stand more of a chance. In the later levels, it becomes clear why you need to go back to the earliest levels and go for gold!
In conclusion, while simplistic in the graphics range, OMG Zombies is more than just your everyday puzzle game. It brings a whole lot more to the table. I would instantly buy this game when asked!
