News: Rebellion takes over the Woolfe IP

Woolfe: The Red Hood Diaries was one of the first Belgian Kickstarted games but the critics didn’t really like it.

Thanks to the mixed reception of gamers and critics, Grin, the studio behind it was forced to close doors. Rebellion decided to help a little.

Rebellion, best known of the Sniper games, decided to buy the IP from Grin, meaning Rebellion has full control over the franchise. Although they weren’t part of it during the start, they’ll try to deliver the Backer rewards where possible:

“Just because we’ve joined the Woolfe project much further down the road doesn’t mean we shouldn’t respect the people who made it happen in the first place. If a backer hasn’t received the reward they pledged for, we’re going to do our best to get it to them, even if we have to make it ourselves,” said Rebellion’s CEO Jason Kingsley.

It’s not sure what Rebellion plans to do with the franchise, perhaps that second act will happen?
