The Gears of War trilogy ended with the release of Gears of War 3 in September. Epic once said that this won’t be the end of the franchise and that we’ll see more of the Gears soon enough.
Rumor has it that People Can Fly will be developing the next Gears of War trilogy, a trilogy that consists out of prequels.
According to the latest issue of OXM US, developer People Can Fly is developing a prequel trilogy for Gears of War. People Can Fly was also the developer behind Bulletstorm and the PC version of the original Gears of War game back in 2007.
The OXM US said:
Gears of War will live on, of course, but in what form? A prequel trilogy developed by Epic-owned People Can Fly (Bulletstorm) as a likely scenario.”
We’ll have to wait and see if this rumor turns out to be true or not.
