Yes, it’s almost that special time of the year again for gamers all over the world! E3 2015 will start in less than one month so it’s time for us to kick off our coverage. Like last years, we’ll start with our personal predictions.
In the second part we see the well-crafted opinions of the third member of the DK crew. I have no style I have no grace, I wrote these predictions in a drunken haze. LET’S GO!
In my opinion last E3 was the most underwhelming E3 I had ever experienced. And it’s ridiculous for the biggest games conference in the world to be that much of a letdown. And while this year has some real big games already announced I still can’t help but feel like we’re gearing up for disappointment.
Many say that E3 is like a gamer’s Christmas, well if E3 is like Christmas than last year was like grandma giving you a woolen prickly sweater. You still love grandma but fear what lame gifts she gonna give this year. But enough of bad metaphors it’s time for video games.
5) That currently unannounced Guerilla studios game.
I really hope the concept art that leaked of a supposed game that Killzone’s Guerilla studios is making is still a thing and if so that it looks like the concept-art. A long while ago Art leaked of what I feel is best described as Destiny but with way cooler designs. With space knights that wear stuff like ponchos over their armor and FREAKING MECHA-DINOSAURS. I can’t even describe how cool it looks. The designs already look like a winner even without gameplay. Let’s hope the game will do its artwork justice.
JUST LOOK AT IT.
4)Doom will finally be shown and it’s going to be great.
So Doom has been away for a long time. While Doom 3 is good it isn’t really that much of a Doom game. I blame the times for the way Doom 3 turned out, but now with things like Painkiller, Wolfenstein and the Shadow Warrior reboot we now know and see what could be for Doom. And thank god it took so long, when the dev’s were asked what was up with the reboot many stated the lack of a soul to be the main problem. And a few weeks ago those statements all turned out to be true. Doom has been away for to long, bring it back, make it fast, make it gory and make it good.
3) Some more info on Smash Brothers DLC and the ballot.
With Smash brothers DLC and the ballot EVERYONE IS POSSIBLE. But that doesn’t mean everyone will be in of course. So… who is? While the ballot ends only within five months; I hope we’ll get to see at least a tease or something of what’s in store for us. There’re a lot of options. Will we see a veteran returning or is it a newcomer? Perhaps it’s a third-party character or even a character that isn’t even from the video game industry? Who knows. And maybe if we’re lucky Lucas will release right there right then.
2) Harada delivers with a game we all wanted. The Xenosaga HD trilogy.
Yeah you tought of a different game didn’t you, don’t worry even though Harada tries to forget, we are still there to bring THAT ONE up. Nope I am talking about The HD re-release or the remake of the Xenosaga Trilogy. A good half-year ago Harada went on Twitter and just said “Man. Wouldn’t a port of the Xenosaga trilogy be pretty dope.”. And a lot of people responded with a loud and excited yes. Since then Harada claimed he was working on convincing the right people at Namco to make it happen. So let’s hope for the best. After all Harada has almost never let us down.
ALMOST.
1) Nintedo shows us a new title in the beloved … Series.
Now with … I mean just about any game you can put in there I will be excited about. Advance Wars YEP, Metroid YEP, Punch-Out, Golden Sun, F-Zero? YEP YEP YEP to all of ’em. And you know at least someone’s guess is going to be right. But personally I want to see a new Punch-Out on the 3DS and not the Wii U. Why 3DS? Well it think a 3DS Punch-Out would be way more fun than a Wii U version. although I don’ really know why.
3) The last Guardians finally returns.
Please don’t be dead. :'(
2) Harada shows us THAT ONE.
Yes. You know the one. Much like The Last Guardian everyone want’s to see it, The Devs say it’s still in progress, nobody believes them. For the People who don’t know what I’m talking about; Tekken X Street Fighter. When Street Fighter X Tekken got announced a sister game got announced along side it. It would take the street fighter characters and put them in the Tekken engine. And when Street fighter X Tekken came out, it left a lot of people with a bad taste and just clamoring for Harada’s take on the concept. Since the announcement in 2010 not only has Street fighter X Tekken released but also: Tekken 3D: Prime Edition, Tekken Tag Tournament 2, Tekken Revolution and even Tekken 7. Hope is small for this but until Harada says the game is dead I am still going to hope that maybe someday my grandchildren will play it.
1)Some Vita support.
At the Playstation Event Sony showed of a few Vita games. But most of them where either ports or cross-buy games. I want some real support from Sony for this long forgotten system. Where is Gravity Rush 2. Where is that cool looking Digimon game. Where is Killzone Mercenary 2. The Vita has always been an after tHought but let’s hope we get something more out of it this time around.
And that’s that. Again while I think this year is going to be disappointing you never know.
But I know it won’t be better than 2011 Man that year was amazing.
