Welcome to our review of Farm Manager 2022, we played it so you do not have to… unless you want to play this kind of games?
Get ready for a logistic challenge in the next part of the best-selling series, which has been sold in over 120,000 copies! In Farm Manager 2022, as a farm manager, you have to ensure the right level of harvest, employee satisfaction, animal health, equipment efficiency, and proper crop processing. You can buy new plots and use materials from abandoned buildings to expand your farm. Thanks to the new, more intuitive interface, employee management is even simpler.
In Farm Manager 2022 you will find even more plant species to grow. Now also organic ones! Grow celery, carrots, currants, gooseberries, onions, and more. Observe plant growth. The new mechanics allow automatic field management using available employees and machines.
Enjoy a variety of machines that you can use when working in the field. Buy and sell them on the stock market. Look for bargains among used machines.
In Farm Manager 2022 you will find bees, sheep, goats, chickens, turkeys, ducks, geese, and cows. For the first time, you will be able to set up a fish farm, ostrich, wild boar, and quail farm.
Farm Manager 2022 is a massive game with incredibly complicated managing systems, which is obviously all the more reason to play the game. Personally, the tutorial scared me away from the game, having to constantly switch panes, tabs, … It just got very overwhelming from the start, much like real life farming, but I was hoping for a more smooth entry into the game.
In the tutorial alone, within the first few minutes, you are buying grass, sheep, hiring new staff, assigning them to places and so much more. It really does not give you a breather and when it finally does, you just wonder if you broke the game. It took the game 20 seconds to deliver the ordered sheep and damn, that felt like ages as nothing seemed to be working, nope, you just had to wait.
There are more instances like this, unclear whether or not you are in the right tabs, figuring out the entire menu system is a nuisance in my humble opinion. Not that I felt comfortable playing the game, if anything, I had to move too close to my TV to be able to read the text on some menus and I play on a 55-inch OLED. Just like feeling this game was intended to be played on a monitor and not on TV.
I am sure that if you are into sim games and farming games, you will have a blast. There is so much to do and it all did feel realistic enough or at least how I imagine farming would go. I just never got into the game, like how everything I was doing felt like wasting my time and that is really not right. Games are meant to be fun and no feel like endless chores….
In conclusion, Farm Manager 2022 was not my thing, maybe you will like it?
