Honestly, if you do not know Monopoly, welcome to planet earth, where money is more important than human lives and any kind of decency. You guessed it right, that was sarcasm to some extent because well, Monopoly really needs no introduction, this is probably the most important board game ever made and this digital version is properly animated and like the real game, quite fun, sadly no cheating as far as I know. That is my personal main appeal to the game, haha.
Now, I decided to play this on my Odin Pro and on Google Stadia at the same time. As you may or may not know, I purchased the Odin with my own money so nothing in this shameless article is being paid for, my opinion that this is the perfect device to play Google Stadia (minus 1 issue) is in no way sponsored or anything. The Odin just lends itself perfectly for Stadia games and the in-game FPS counter was very welcome as well.
During my gameplay, which was mostly at night, leisure gaming before sleeping. I admit that this is not the game to fully test Google Stadia in 2022, it is rather low-end when it comes to advanced graphics, but it sure is a more than decent experience, with just a few dips under 50FPS, but still above 45… I must say this game performed very well. Even after an hour of playing, I was barely ever seeing any glitches, proving once again that Stadia works perfectly under low load.
I keep going back to this point every single time when it comes to Stadia, it does its job perfectly when it is not being challenged. I am currently also playing one of the Final Fantasy games on it and that is blurry more than a few times each gaming session. More action and more issues. Kind of sad that Stadia is still not performing perfectly, but I guess that is the curse of a bandwidth-based service?
In conclusion, as a game, I love monopoly and I really enjoyed this version. I loved the variants in gameplay and despite not being able to cheat, this score was given without a cheat code 😉
