FF7R EPISODE INTERmission is a brand-new adventure in the world of Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade. Play as Wutai ninja Yuffie Kisaragi as she infiltrates Midgar and conspires with Avalanche HQ to steal the ultimate materia from the Shinra Electric Power Company.
Play alongside new characters and enjoy an expanded gameplay experience featuring multiple new combat and gameplay additions. This adventure brings new perspective to the Final Fantasy VII Remake story that cannot be missed. A member of Wutai’s elite corps of ninja operatives, Yuffie styles herself as both a ravishing beauty and a world-class materia hunter. Using her signature oversized throwing star and exceptional agility, she is a force to be reckoned with. Determined to reclaim her homeland’s former glory—and acting on orders from the government—she sneaks into Midgar.
Gaming Boulevard was given pre-release access to a lot of new and unseen footage of this new content and after really loving the remake, I jumped on the chance to have a sneak peek at what is to come. To my big surprise, all the information given was quite overwhelming in a specific way, it was really an impressive introduction to Yuffie and her entourage.
What struck me the most is how awesome this game looked in 4K. Yuffie looked so cute, I was impressed. Not to say anything but all the backgrounds, surroundings and even the fights looked impressive. But what really got me, leaving me with questions, is your companion Sonon. He can not be controlled as a separate person, but clearly can be manipulated in battle. I must say I can not wait to try that out.
For everything else, this footage just made my day as I will be having a real treat in the middle of June. Fighting as Yuffie, instructing Sonon on what to do, summon new powers like Ramuh. It was all truly appealing and well, can’t wait for it to be the tenth of June.
Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade is coming out on June 10th for PlayStation 5, which if true, will sadly leave fans that have not upgraded yet without the possibility to play it. I wonder if there will be a surprise release on “last-gen” or will this be the first of many games that will be available only on the newest of consoles? Time will tell, but for now, I count myself lucky for owning a PS5 and hope you all do as well!
