Welcome to the overview article on everything that was said on today’s Playstation 5 Showcase!
After a long wait, this is finally happening! The reveal of the two most important aspects of the new Sony console, price AND release date! We have seen the two behemoths of gaming play a great game of chicken and now that the other side has shown its hands, it is time for Sony to bring the moolah!
The showcase begins with a variety of random screens of many games to come. I recognise multiple titles from previous showcases and after this shortt interlude, we get to the showing of gameplay footage emulated on a PC….
First up, a Square Enix title and it is none other than Final Fantasy 16, an RPG that looks amazing with big boss fights and impressive graphics. This game is coming out as a console exclusive but no date was shown!
All future videos are straight from recordings on a Playstation 5 and we start off with Spidermans’ story! Miles Morales is second in this presentation and the story picks up 1 year after the original game. Gameplay was shown next and it did not disappoint! Out holiday 2020!
Third game is a game from the Harry Potter universe! An incredibly impressive Harry Potter adventure in Hogwarts, appearing to be an RPG and out in 2021 as Hogwarts Legacy!
Fourth game is Black Ops Cold War gameplay! This looks to be another action loaded game and it is coming this friday exclusively on PS4! Preloads will be live shortly!
Fifth game is Village, the Resident Evil game! A nice and spooky trailer shows the game is coming in 2021!
Sixth game in the showcase a freaky looking game with tons of action! Supernatural and gun fights galoreo combined! Deathloop is coming Q2 in 2021.
Seventh game is a new Capcom game and goes by the familiar name of Devil May Cry, the PS5 is getting the fifth DMC game! Available digitally at launch!
Eight game is from the Oddworld universe! Abe sets off on his new adventure in the newest game on Playstation 5! Soul Storm is its name!
Number nine is Five nights at Freddy’s! A short but eerie trailer!
The Tenth game is a Playstation studios game so exclusive to Playstation! Dark Souls is looking better than ever and this one looks especially cruel! Demon’s Soul looks very ready yet no date was given!
Number 11 is my personal fave game of the time being, Fortnite, which will be available at launch!
Playstation Plus is getting new benefits on PS5 and a sizzle reel is shown. The entire collection will be available at launch! More details to follow, I am sure!
And last but not least, the price!
399 and 499 with release dates for the world on the 19th of november and some parts of the world get it one week early!
The one more thing is called Ragnarok. 2021 date.
