I am usually not the biggest fan of racing games, off-road or supercars, … But MX vs ATV All Out kind of took me off guard by bringing a more than a solid game and an overall fun approach to a genre I generally do not appreciate. MX vs ATV All Out actually made me go back into the game after the review and made me keep playing.

The good part of this game is that the controls are not overly annoying and it just feels like things are self-explanatory! Steering has not felt this natural in a long time and over the period of many other game reviews, even the harder to perform quick turns do not feel like overachieving or even unnatural. Aside from maybe the ragdoll physics when you go down, spoiler alert this is quite hilarious at times, you always got some nice action going on.

My favorite part is the free driving with the bike, it feels so free, I love it! Even the racing never feels impossible to pull off a (surprise) victory and I felt the game to be rather well balanced most of the time. Sure, the occasional hiccup here and there but if you drive in a composed manner and keep your attention up, nothing ever feels impossible!

If I were to name one thing that did not always feel right, the tricks you can perform. But I will be honest that I never really spent my time making sure I was doing them right as I do like to experiment. This is where my love for purposely crashing in this game came into play as I did often purposely try to see just how far my body would fly if and when you went totally out of bounds!

In conclusion, MX vs ATV All Out felt like a real adventure while playing. It had been a long time since I really had fun in this genre. Fun graphics and gameplay make this game worthy of your time if you like the genre!
