Review: Spaghet

Spaghet is a new game on steam by Torrey Daniel and published by TD Indie. This Game is based on the very popular internet meme “Somebody toucha my spaghet!”. I’ll put it in a gif below. The game is a horror game in which you have to slap spaghet in order to keep it warm. Avoid getting caught by the family of bears. The Developer described this game perfectly and that why I’ll quote him:

“Very few can resist the temptation of a warm plate of Spaghet… nor can you. You settle down, ready to sink your hands into that stringy goodness, but there’s a problem: That’s not your Spaghet. This isn’t even your house, and the current residents don’t appreciate having their food slapped around.” – Torrey Daniel

This game was released on steam on April 13th for only €1,99 and is really worth it if you want to have a good laugh. The game is based on Five Nights at Freddy’s and requires you to slap the spaghet but don’t punch it. If the spaghet gets to cold or if you get caught by a member of the bear family, they will kill you! Each member of the family is different, and you will have to deal with them in a separate way.

For instance, momma bear looks at you and when the eye meter in the upper corner fills up she will kill you, so hide from her. Papa Bear doesn’t want to be looked at, so stare at him to make him disappear, baby bear will kill all that moves, and Goldilocks will come from the side and thinks you’re disgusting, hide from her.

You have only some basic controls. You can look at the spaghet and click some sequences of right and left mouse click. This will make you slap the spaghet and keep it warm. If you click wrong, you will punch the spaghet. This makes it cool down even faster. You can look down and hide behind the counter or look up and jump over the counter, all by just clicking your mouse.

In real life you should never toucha another man’s spaghet. So, why not buy a cheap game to do so? It’s genuinely scary at the beginning, but of course it wears off quickly as it does in all these types of games. Once you get to know all the things you have to do to counter all the family members and you focus on the sequences to keep your spaghet warm, it becomes maybe a bit too easy. But still, I had a lot of fun with this game. Games like Spaghet deserve some support! They are simple and fun and play into current hypes! Great job!
