It is almost June and this means the start of Summer: going to the beach, swimming, having some drinks… Who am I kidding!? I will be inside playing video games like I always do because June is a very special month for video games. It is the month where the biggest gaming expo E3 is hosted. So here are my predictions of reveals and dreams for E3 2017!
5) The Last of Us 2
The Last of Us is one of the best games ever, it has an amazing story with fantastic gameplay. Everybody who played it really loved it but there are still some unanswered questions regarding the outcome. The initial release of the Last of Us was June 14, 2013 so it has been 4 years so we really want to see the sequel. And if you think about it the games 4 year anniversary is the exact moment when E3 starts, that can’t be a coincidence.
4) Pokemon game on the Nintendo Switch
Pokemon Sun and Moon was a big success this year, It almost came to perfection. In the past, there were a few Pokemon games on home consoles but the handheld kept being the console to go to for the main Pokemon games. This is an obvious choice because it is a game that is the most fun of you can battle it out against other players with your team and this was not that case when you play home console. That is why I think the Nintendo Switch is the perfect console for the new Pokemon game. You can play on a tv and have impressive graphics which is definitely good to show off the Pokemon battles but you can still easily take the console outside to battle others. The Pokemon Company said they wanted to wait for the success of the Switch before they would make a new Pokemon game for the platform and Switch sales numbers are high. So it definitely would be the best move for the Pokemon Company to show off the new Pokemon game at E3.
3) Nintendo eSports
eSporst are everywhere nowadays, League of legends, Hearthstone, CS GO and many more. But there is one big player missing: Nintendo. Ok, Super Smash Brothers is played competitively but Nintendo does not do an afford the help the scene grow. But in the reveal of the Nintendo Switch theg revealed a glance of what their future in the eSport might be. So I am pretty sure they will reveal their eSports plans.
2) Fighting games for the Switch
A few weeks ago Amazon leaked that a fighting pad for the Nintendo Switch is coming by the end of the year. Ok, for now we have Ultra Street Fighter II: The Final Challengers but I can’t believe they would make a fighting pad and release it 6 months after the release. I might be wrong but I am certain we will see some fighting games announced.
2,5) Super Smash Brothers For Nintendo Switch
Super Smash Brothers is definitely one of my favorite games, It is a fighting game where you fight as Nintendo characters what would you possibly want more from a game. Since the N64 every console had a Smash brothers game and the Switch won’t be an exception. There are two options: They make a update port from the Wii U version like they did with MarioKart 8 Deluxe or They make a totally new smash with lots of new characters (please bring back ice climbers and snake!) but a Smash for Nintendo Switch will definitely come.
1) Virtual Console on Nintendo Switch
There are many triple A games coming for the Switch but I hope that Nintendo will reveal there plans for a Gamecube Virtual Console. In my opinion it is the gold era for Nintendo with gems like Smash Melee, Mario kart Double Dash, Super Mario Sunshine, Zelda Windwaker… They always had a virtual console so this will be for the Switch aswell.
2) SKATE 4
SKATE is a super fun and kind of realistic skate game that was super popular, but it ended with SKATE 3. It was on my dreams list last year and it will be on my dream list until we have SKATE 4! Please EA make this thing happen. everybody wants it!
1) Rick and Morthy game
Rick and Morthy is without a doubt my favourite animated series, travelling across dimensions fighting space monsters. This series would be perfect to make into a game. They already made a VR game but a complete console Rick and Morthy would be the best thing ever. Wubba lubba dub dub, please make this happen!
