The Sun has gone. The Moon sets off on a journey to find the Sun. Along the journey will be hazardous courses and deep realizations.
6180 The moon is a minimalistic but very artistic platform game made by developer Turtle Cream where you play as the Moon on your quest to find and return the Sun. On first glance this game may seem very simple, you are just a ball that jumps its way through the levels. There is just one element in this game that makes it very unique. When you reach the end of the top screen, you reappear at that same spot on the bottom screen of the 3DS, and vice-versa.
It is almost like there is a big portal on the top and bottom of the screen. This results in a very unique and refreshing gameplay and adds a whole new layer to level design. This unorthodox approach made my brain hurt a little bit when I first started playing 6180 The Moon, but I got used to it after a few levels and realized that this is what makes this game so special.
During your adventure, you visit every planet in our solar system. Each planet has 10 levels and all introduce new mechanics which forces you to adjust your playstyle to the planet. The levels are pretty short but some of them can get pretty hard and it’s almost inevitable to not crash the Moon a few times during your quest. Luckily there are unlimited levels and checkpoints during the levels but it’s still frustrating at times.
6180 The Moon is an artistic game in my opinion. Although the style is minimal it’s still very beautiful and combined with the amazing soundtrack, brings a beautiful and special atmosphere to the game. The story is pretty simple but beautiful and gets the player thinking.

Conclusion:
6180 The Moon is unique and interesting but it’s also a lot of fun even though it can be frustrating sometimes. It’s pretty short but for its price, it’s still a very good deal and I definitely recommend this game for gamers who want to play something new.
