E3 2016 is right around the corner and the internet is currently speculating about what we might see at the show.
As usual, we give you our predictions and dreams for the biggest gaming event of the year.
First up, Sander Boel (or Amstroid as he likes to call himself). Since he’s our modguide writer, it’s no surprise this first list offers some goods for the PC gamers. Time to kick off our predictions:
5) EA will announce Star Wars Battlefront II.
Despite the fact that the first Battlefront hasn’t received all its promised content, EA will announce the next one. And it will be released together with the next Star Wars movie. In doing so, they will absolutely kill any hope that the “Star Wars Battlefront” series won’t be just a money-grab game like they did with the “The Sims” series. Together with the announcement, you will get a first look at a few DLC pre-order items (because they haven’t learned from CD Project RED) and a seasons pass around the same price as the one for the first Star Wars Battlefront.
4) RollerCoaster Tycoon World
Atari will try to get some attention on their roller coaster game: “RollerCoaster Tycoon World”. They might have noticed that there are a few other games coming out (Parkitect & Planet Coaster), which all look a lot better and play a lot smoother. On E3, they will give you a pre-render gameplay video, that will look absolutely stunning, but won’t be present the actual game.
3) The next Far Cry
Ubisoft shall announce the next Far Cry. This time it will take place in space and it will feature unique gameplay! You are a civilian in space, trying to survive a crazy terrorist’s plan to conquer the world. He has killed everyone on your space station, but you. You will have to fight with other important people to bring down this crazy person. It will feature an innovative open world where you will have to climb on space stations to scout the surroundings, collect spare materials and stardust to upgrade your weapon (singular!). Ow and they enemies are all robots, so you have to communicate with 0’s and 1’s, you know, for authentic reasons.
2) Watchdogs 2
Ubisoft will announce Watchdogs 2! They will again come up with the most amazing trailer and over the top promises, because “they have learned from their mistakes in the past”. But sadly, once the game will be released, it will be the same story as with Watchdogs over again. They will recycle the same gameplay from Assassin’s Creed & Far Cry, but this time in a modern city and with a phone as your weapon.
1) No No Man’s Sky gameplay video
Despite the game being delayed again, Hello Games will show us a new trailer without showing anything new. It will just be another video where we won’t see anything special, or anything new. And they won’t go further into the gameplay aspect.
1) VR with real games
VR, at the moment, is lacking some real games, but on this E3, we will see some serious games like a Elder-Scrolls look-a-like, a shooter and some racing games. And on top of that, we will get a serious hack&slash and a figher game where you will get a full immersion thanks to the Virtual Reality!
2) CD Project RED will come up with the follow-up on the Witcher
A follow-up on the best RPG at the moment, with DLCs and updates where other developers can learn from, might not be a crazy dream. CD Project RED might have said that the story of Gerald of Rivia is done, but that doesn’t mean that the story of Ciri is fully covered? Or perhaps they will go with some of the other witchers.
3) Cyberpunk 2077 will make us forget The Witcher 3
The trailer and the new information for Cyberpunk 2077 will be amazing! It will show us what CR Project RED can do if they make a game in the future.
