Bad news came from Nintendo today. Satoru Iwata, CEO of Nintendo passed away after surgery.
This news comes as a shock to everybody and our hearts go out to his family and co-workers.
Nintendo released the official statement today, which was rather short but straightforward:
“Nintendo Co., Ltd. deeply regrets to announce that President Satoru Iwata passed away on July 11, 2015 due to a bile duct growth.”
Iwata was struggling with is health but it looked like he never really recovered. The Directs will never be the same again.
