Gearbox has recently finished the development of Borderlands 2 and is now working on the Mechromancer-class. This class is being added after the release of the game and is free for people that pre-order the game.
The Mechromancer-DLC is planned to release between 60 and 90 days after the launch of Borderlands 2. The extra character is free for members of the Borderlands 2 Premium Club. To get access to that club, you have to pre-order the game.
Borderlands 2 launches September 21 for PC, Xbox 360 and Playstation 3.
