The PS Vita has received firmware update 1.65. Here is the list of changes, of which the main feature is the ability to turn off notification pop ups.
– A “Notification Alert” option will be added to Settings, so you can toggle alerts on or off
– “After 10 minutes” will be added to the time options under Power Save Settings
– An Arrow icon will now appear when PS Vita finds new activities in the LiveArea
– Caps Lock will be supported in the On Screen Keyboard
In addition PS+ Minis will work on the system and Near can be updated whenever.
However, at the moment there has been a delay with the update in the EU which should be sorted soon. So for all Vita users in the EU the update is not available as of yet.
