NEWS: Illegal downloads stop PC-version of I Am Alive

The problem of illegal downloading is stopping a possible PC-version of I Am Alive. That’s what Stanislas Mettra, Creative Director of the game, said in an interview with IncGamers.

I Am Alive is scheduled to release during the upcoming winter, for Xbox Live Arcade and Playstation Network.

About the unlikely PC-version, Mettra said that they have understood that PC-gamers want a version for the PC. He is asking the question if that group is just complaining about the fact that there isn’t a version for PC or because they really want to play it: “Would they buy the game if we created it?”

The reason for the not existing PC-version, according to Mettra, is caused by the massive piracy in the PC-section.

“There are so little PC-gamers who actually pay for a game, which forces us to lower the production for PC’s. There are only a dozen people needed to bring the game to the PC in three months time. That’s not a big cost, but it still  is one. If only 50.000 people actually buy the game, then it’s not worth creating.”
