Welcome to GamingBoulevard (“we,” “our,” or “the Platform”). By accessing or using this website, including its content, services, or submission forms, you agree to the following terms and conditions. These apply to all site users, including casual visitors, registered users, contributors, and partners.
1. Editorial Scope & Content Responsibility
GamingBoulevard is an editorial platform dedicated to reviews, articles, and multimedia coverage of gaming and entertainment. All opinions expressed on this site and official socials are those of individual contributors or the editorial team and do not reflect the views of sponsors, partners, or game publishers.
We strive for accuracy and fairness but do not guarantee the completeness or reliability of any published material.
2. Voluntary Contributions & Editorial Control
Content submitted to GamingBoulevard by contributors, whether occasional or recurring, is considered a voluntary contribution unless a written agreement states otherwise.
By submitting content, contributors grant GamingBoulevard a perpetual, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to:
- Publish, edit, update, localize, translate, or redistribute the material,
- Use the content across all official channels (website, social media, promotional material),
- Modify or remove contributor attribution if deemed necessary for privacy, editorial, or legal reasons.
Contributors retain moral rights over their submissions, but waive the right to request unpublishing after editorial acceptance and publication.
3. Access & Use of the Platform
You may browse the Platform without registering. We do not require user accounts for standard access. If optional account creation is introduced (e.g., for commenting or newsletters), the following conditions apply:
- You agree to provide accurate information,
- You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials,
- We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts without notice in case of abuse.
You may not:
- Copy, scrape, or republish our content without permission,
- Submit illegal, defamatory, or misleading content,
- Disrupt the website’s functioning or attempt to gain unauthorized access.
4. User-Generated Content (Comments & Forms)
Users may submit content via comment sections, contact forms, or surveys. We reserve the right to moderate or delete user submissions without prior notice if they:
- Contain hate speech, spam, or inappropriate content,
- Violate any applicable laws,
- Are irrelevant or disruptive to the discussion.
We do not claim ownership over user-submitted comments, but by posting them, you grant us a non-exclusive license to display, quote, or moderate them as needed.
5. Review Materials & Publisher Relationships
GamingBoulevard often receives review codes, media kits, or promotional access from publishers and PR agencies in exchange for coverage. These arrangements are transparently maintained under the Platform’s name and do not grant contributors personal ownership of the resulting content.
All such material is considered editorial property. Content linked to third-party agreements must remain accessible in accordance with those agreements and cannot be removed or substantially altered at an individual contributor’s request.
6. Intellectual Property Rights
All original content on GamingBoulevard (including text, images, videos, and branding) is the property of the Platform, unless otherwise stated.
Users may:
- Share links or brief excerpts for non-commercial use, provided proper credit is given,
- Not reproduce full articles or media without prior written permission.
We reserve the right to issue takedown requests or pursue legal action against unauthorized use of our content.
7. Privacy, data protection & editorial exemptions (GDPR)
GamingBoulevard operates in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). As an editorial platform, not a data-driven service, we collect only minimal personal data when strictly necessary (e.g., contact forms, giveaway entries, or analytics). This data is:
- Limited in scope and used for a specific purpose only,
- Never shared with third parties for commercial gain,
- Stored securely and only for the duration reasonably required.
We do not offer user accounts or allow users to post personal content directly. Most visitors are therefore not subject to active personal data processing beyond anonymized analytics.
Rights of Data Subjects Users may:
- Request access, correction, or deletion of their stored personal data (if technically and legally feasible),
- Request anonymization of their name in contributor credits.
However, GamingBoulevard is not obligated to remove or alter editorial content in the following cases:
- If the content no longer contains personal identifiers,
- If the content serves the public interest or is tied to contractual or third-party obligations (e.g., review codes),
- If the request is abusive, unverifiable, or technically infeasible.
The right to be forgotten does not extend to journalistic or editorial archives, as protected under Article 17(3)(a) GDPR. GamingBoulevard retains the editorial right to preserve, archive, or distribute such content in the public interest.
We reserve the right to reject GDPR-related requests that do not meet legal or editorial thresholds.
8. Contributor content, intellectual property & legal acceptance
By submitting any written, audiovisual, or creative content to GamingBoulevard whether via direct upload, editorial review system, or informal communication with the editorial team contributors agree that:
- All contributions are subject to GamingBoulevard’s editorial policies and Terms of Use, regardless of the date of submission.
- The act of repeated, voluntary submission, especially via private systems such as back-end access or review queues, constitutes tacit acceptance of our editorial structure and publishing rights.
- Published contributions are considered part of GamingBoulevard’s curated editorial output, and editorial decisions (including acceptance, rejection, editing, or archiving) are the sole responsibility of the editorial leads.
Compensation & Employment Clarification
Any financial reward, game code, product sample, or one-time payment offered to a contributor is to be understood as:
- A symbolic gesture of goodwill
- Not an employment contract, license agreement, or transfer of copyright/IP ownership.
Such compensation does not confer:
- Legal authorship or co-ownership of published content,
- Editorial rights or ongoing financial claims,
- The right to demand unpublishing or reuse of published materials.
All editorial control and decision-making authority remain fully with GamingBoulevard.
Retroactive Enforcement
These terms apply retroactively to any contributions published through GamingBoulevard’s infrastructure, even if they were submitted prior to the formal publication of this Terms of Use page. This retroactive enforcement is justified by:
- The contributor’s ongoing use of GamingBoulevard as a platform,
- The absence of a signed employment or licensing agreement,
- The editorial processing and hosting of their content under GamingBoulevard’s identity,
- And the internationally recognized exception to removal requests under GDPR Article 17(3)(a), which safeguards freedom of expression and editorial integrity.
Contributors who no longer wish to be named may request anonymization, but not the removal of published editorial content.
9. Modifications
GamingBoulevard may update these Terms at any time without prior notice. Continued use of the Platform constitutes your acceptance of any changes made.
10. Contact
GamingBoulevard is operated from Belgium and complies with applicable Belgian and EU law. For privacy inquiries, content concerns, or legal requests, contact us via mail.
