The Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase was one of this month’s most anticipated gaming events. Missed it? We got you covered with this summary.
The showcase opened with an Xbox console Exclusive from Bethesda. It’s a mysterious shooter set in a rather dark atmosphere where everybody disappeared. It combines horror elements with the first-person genre and looks very promising, to say the least. The vampires did give away what we’re looking at, this is Redfall and it looks amazing. It’s releasing in 2023 and playable on Game Pass day one. Every member of the team has his/her own strengths and weaknesses. I love how the game combines different powers with classic guns. The world really feels lived in and the atmosphere is amazing, check it out:
Moving on to Hollow Knight: Silksong! The game finally returned with stellar gameplay. It clearly is the sequel we’ve all been waiting for and it looks like the team certainly used their extra time to make this one look as incredible as possible. Coming to Game Pass on day one.
Next, another console exclusive from the creators of Rick & Morty! The vibe is extremely funny and the weapons are very unique. To make it even better, you can perform some weird but incredible dual-wielding. High on Life is releasing this October, and yes, it’s a Game Pass day one title.
All games that are showcased will be playable within 12 months maximum.
League of Legends, Valorant, and more are coming to Xbox Game Pass. Riot Games is the biggest new addition to the Game Pass library!
Next is the anticipated A Plague Tale: Requiem with new gameplay. It takes a lot of inspiration from the first game but looks extremely impressive. The game is releasing this year and is coming to Game Pass on day one.
Time for an Xbox Game Studios Game. Here’s Forza Motorsport is coming in 2023. It’s created from the ground up to take advantage of the powerful Xbox Series X and S. It’s incredibly beautiful and looks, unlike anything you’ve seen before. If you thought Forza couldn’t get any better, well, check out this gameplay:
Time for some Overwatch 2 which is going in early access on October 4th and is free-to-play! We also got a first look at a new apocalyptic hero. She reminded me of Jinx from League of Legends, so yes, she looks like a fun character!
Time for a world premiere of a new strategic game for Xbox Game Studios. You can reshape history in Ara: History Untold. From today on, you can join the insider program.
ESO: High Isle is coming to Xbox next week. This was announced with a new trailer to showcase what you can expect from the expansion.
Fallout 76 is also getting an expansion, moving you to the Pitt, one of the fan-favorite locations. The Pitt is playable this September.
Get ready for a Forza Horizon 5 update. It’s the update we’ve all been waiting for! Get ready to race on Hot Wheels tracks in extremely realistic environments. This one looks like a lot of fun! Available July 19th.
Next, is a console launch exclusive. A pretty impressive new trailer of Ark 2 was dropped, coming in 2023, included in Game Pass.
Another console launch exclusive is the creepy-looking Scorn, which is releasing this October!
Are you ready to find out if you can kill a god? The new action game Flintlock is looking interesting, releasing in 2023.
Time for another World Premiere from the Xbox Game Studios! From the creators of Minecraft comes a new game in the typical Minecraft style. Here’s the legend of a united overworld, united by you, the new hero. It looks like a fun strategic game and is called Minecraft Legends, coming in 2023.
Get ready for another console launch exclusive. A game where you and your powerful mech land on a new planet where you can create a new life. Think about Harvest Moon meets No Man’s Sky, including a lot of interesting mysteries. This is Lightyear Frontier.
Gunfire Reborn is a four-player co-op roguelike and is releasing this October.
More console launch exclusives! A new 2D platformer that looks like an atmospheric MetroidVania. It’s all very stylish and certainly looks like my type of game. The Last case of Benedict Fox is releasing Spring 2023.
Next is As Dusk Falls, a deep interactive experience. It combines a powerful plot with strong visuals. It’s an interactive television show.
Another console exclusive that really needs no introduction, here’s Naraka:
Get ready for another World Premiere from the Xbox Studios! A game with a great visual style that reminds me of an interactive painting. It looks like the works of the old masters. Obsidian Entertainment is creating it and you just have to see it to believe it, looks promising and releasing rather quickly this November! This is Pentiment.

Another World Premiere. A fun deep RPG with platform elements and an incredible visual style. The style really is something we haven’t seen before and while the gameplay itself looks rather traditional, I can’t wait to play Ravenlok in 2023.
Not enough World Premieres? Time for another one! This is from the creator of Limbo. An interesting puzzle platformer called Cocoon.
Get ready for some classic Japanese games. Atlus is bringing the Persona games over to the Xbox consoles!
