Review: Razer Arctech Pro

Since the release of the new iPhone 11 Pro, a lot of buyers are looking for the best protective case on the market. Protecting your phone is crucial but Razer decided this shouldn’t be the only feature in a case. The Arctech Pro offers a lot more than just mere protection and after using it for a couple of days now, this really might be one of the best on the market, time to find out why.

Certified drop protection

First things first, the Arctech Pro does exactly what it’s supposed to do: offering solid protection for your brand-new iPhone 11 Pro. With certified drop protection for a drop of 10ft/3m, this case is created for heavy-duty protection. The best thing about this is the fact that it’s not a heavy case at all. If you compare cases with such great drop protection, most of the others are rather heavy, the Arctech Pro is a light case with a smooth matte finish. Before I had the Arctech Pro, I used a transparent hard plastic case which was rather slippery to hold. This Arctech Pro is a huge leap forward as it’s extremely comfortable to hold and thanks to its matte rubber touch, you’ll never lose your grip while holding the phone. That being said, it shouldn’t be a problem if you accidentally drop your phone since the drop protection will keep it safe. I tested this a couple of times and the case really protected the phone entirely thanks to its bumpers and thickness. Even if the phone falls face forwards, it won’t hit the glass directly as the raised bumpers stick out enough to make direct contact with the screen nearly impossible.

Keep it cool

As said in the introduction, this case offers more than just drop protection, the other big features are its vented channels and thermaphene layer, both created to ensure your phone never suffers from overheating while using it. I tested this in a lot of possible ways, including using my phone for a couple of hours while using battery-heavy apps and my cameras. The results are amazing, my phone never overheated and it’s pretty clear the vented channels and thermaphene layer do their job incredibly well. It’s not just a marketing trick, it really works and it really benefits my battery. It also goes the other way, standing in the cold for a couple of hours didn’t affect my battery the way it did affect the battery of my girlfriend’s iPhone that wasn’t protected with the Razer Arctech Pro case. The case has some impressive temperature management, ensuring your phone won’t suffer from overheating or extensive battery loss, compared to other cases there’s simply no other case on the market that offers the same kind of professional venting.

But wait, there’s more

As if this wasn’t enough to convince you already, the case has some extra tricks up his sleeve. For greater convenience, the case is compatible with wireless charging, meaning you can still use your wireless charger without having to remove the case from your phone. It sounds like something that every case should have but as you might already know, not all iPhone cases offer this compatibility. It’s not an important feature if you’re always charging with your cable but it’s good to know this case offers you the freedom to decide how you want to charge your phone. On top of this, come easy to use button and port access since the case really is perfectly molded around your iPhone. Pushing the buttons or accessing the port access or volume switch is extremely intuitive and works as well as it would without a case. Compared to cheaper case models, pushing the buttons might cause a small delay but none of this happens with the Arctech Pro. Its last feature is the network performance optimization, stating you’ll have an unhindered connection while using it. This one was the hardest to test since there are a lot of variables that can affect your connection but when I directly compared it to the phone of my girlfriend, I did notice I didn’t lose my connection as much as she did without the case. This, of course, could be a coincidence or just the iPhone 11 Pro’s better performance but if you see how well the other features are handled in this case, it really might be the case offering an optimized connection, which is rather amazing!

Razer Arctech Pro

Conclusion:

The Razer Arctech Pro is one of the best cases on the market for the iPhone 11 Pro. Not only does it offer great protection, but it also manages the heating of your phone, optimizes your connection and enables you to use your phone as you would use it without a case. I’m using this case for a couple of days now and there’s no way I would ever trade it in for another case in the future, or Razer has to do the impossible and has to come up with an even better version but I’m guessing that won’t happen as it’s simply put not necessary at all. Looking for the perfect case? Well, you just found it!
