NEWS: Fifa 13 confirmed on Wii U

Fifa 13 will release on the Wii U and uses the touchscreen on the Wii U gamepad, by giving players the possibility to perform tackles, passes and shots. This was confirmed by Matt Prior, the producer of the Wii U version of Fifa 13, in Official Nintendo Magazine.

These options are called Touchscreen Tackling, Touchscreen Passing and Touchscreen Shooting. Further, the Wii U-version offers the possibility to show the Manager Hub. You can also take free kicks and penalty’s with the touchscreen, and you can also change the tactics with this.

Prior also says Fifa 13 will look as good on the Wii U as on the PlayStation 3 and the Xbox 360, but also has some ‘determining graphical improvements’.

“We have focussed on the graphical aspects that would have the most impact on the game”

The launch date for the Wii U-version is still unknown. The other versions launch September 27th
