We all love games, that’s why we’re here, right? Now that we’re getting closer to the Holiday Season, developers are dropping their heavy hitters one by one. Although it’s great to see all those incredible games, it also means you’ll, most likely, sit down a lot more than during the rest of the year. Some might forget, but during intense gaming sessions, it’s important to own a good gaming chair. Those chairs are more than just a hype, they really can make the difference.
Assemble your chair
Since there are tons of gaming chairs out there, it’s important to do your research first. Since our headquarters are located in Europe, we went for a European gaming chair from E-Win Europe. The Champion Series CPA Ergonomic Office Gaming Chair seemed like the best fit as you get a lot of quality for a rather low price. This chair has the same price tag as its competitors but it offers a lot of value for your money. Something I noticed was that E-Win’s entry-level chairs already support weight up to 150 kg (330 lbs) whereas other brands will only offer this in their more expensive models. Thanks to its strong metal frame in combination with its memory foam, the chair can be considered a premium product and that’s exactly how you’ll feel when they deliver it to your house.
The chair comes packed in a huge box that’s screaming to be unboxed. Once you open it up, you’ll see all the parts you’ll need. E-Win really did a great job in making the assembly of your chair as easy as possible. With an instruction booklet printed in full colors, nothing is standing in your way to assembling your new chair. It did it on my own and although an extra person would make it a bit easier, I managed to assemble my new chair in around 20 minutes, which would have been less if I had any experience with other gaming chairs. The box comes with everything you need and even includes some handy white gloves to protect the gorgeous faux leather of your new favorite chair.
Look and feel
After you completed the assembly, you want to sit down in your chair as fast as possible, obviously, that was the first thing I did too. The chair immediately feels very comfortable thanks to its soft texture and beautifully crafted faux leather. It really looks and feels like a premium gaming chair and you can easily spend hours in it, it’s an extremely comfortable chair. Even when you’re not gaming, this is still one of the better office chairs I’ve seen in years.
What I like most about it is the way it supports my lower body all the way down to my knees. That way, I always sat comfortably and I never had to worry about my legs not being properly supported. It sits like a dream and it’s clear the team has put a lot of thoughts into this product while creating it. Thanks to its handy back recliner, you can make an 85 to 155-degree adjustment, making it the perfect chair for intense gaming sessions or relaxation moments. Besides that, you can also adjust the height to match your posture. The chair is rather high but on the lowest setting, you’ll be able to place your feet on the ground without any problems.
But wait, there’s more
As if this wasn’t enough already, the chair comes with some nice extras too. One of the biggest plusses are the 4D adjustable armrests. Creating a decent gaming chair is impossible if you don’t address the armrests too. These rests are adjustable in any way you can think of. You can slide them closer are farther away from your arms, move them inwards or outwards of the chair, and change the height of the armrests. This means you can easily adapt to the game your playing. For shooters on console, I like to hold my controller close to me and a little higher up. Thanks to adjustable armrests, I had no trouble at all fighting off the enemies without ever having to worry about my arms getting tired. If I wanted to do some work on my computer afterward, I could easily adjust the armrest to a lower position so I could work on my projects as comfortable as possible.
Besides that, the Champion Series also comes packed with two free cushions, one for your head and one for your lower back. At first, I hated them as I didn’t get the point and they appeared to be in my way for a truly comfortable experience. After a while, I adjusted the height of both cushions and I can’t go without them anymore. Changing the height is extremely easy but once you find that sweet spot for your lower back, you can’t return to any other office chair. During longer sessions, I easily can get sore in my lower back but this cushion really supports it in the back way possible. The same goes for the headrest, although you won’t use it a lot during intense gaming sessions, it’s extremely comfortable while watching a movie.
Conclusion:
The E-Win Champion Series offers a lot of great value for your money. It’s not the most expensive gaming chair out there but for such a small price, it’s easily one of the best on the market. It gives you a lot of freedom to find the perfect position for your posture and it truly looks and feels like a premium model.
