GOOD NEWS! A new event is here! Now we are in an event called Overwatch Uprising. This event goes back to when Tracer was first introduced in Overwatch. Omnic – human relations are still fragile, but an Omnic terrorist group called Null Sector attacks and sieges London.
After all the rumors that have been going on lately let’s see all the new things.
New skins
There are many new skins available. There is a new skin for Tracer, Mercy, Reinhardt, Torbjörn and others. For some of these like Tracer these skins are legendary and cost 3000 credits.
New Gamemode
I love that this finally came through! Now we have a PvE type gamemode. Compare it to Left for Dead. In Uprising you have to survive a certain number of Omnic waves. You can do this with a set of heroes (Tracer, Reinhardt, Torbjörn and Mercy) or you can choose your heroes yourself. A big disadvantage is when one person leaves, no one fills up the spot. So when you are with 4 people, and your healer suddenly leaves, it is near impossible to do because you don’t have health packs lying around and you can’t change hero.
In the gamemode you first have to first capture some points. After that you have to escort a payload until finally you have to fight against 3 OR-14 units.
What I think is nice too, is that this is the first time we hear Reapers normal voice. But this event mainly focuses on the past. We can see that Jack Morisson, Ana Amari and Gabriel Reyes are still together.
