Now this is one no one saw coming. I can’t even process what just happened.
So Cloud for the well-known Nintendo franchise Final Fantasy 7 is now in Smash. AH yes I remember playing FF7 when I was a kid on my Nintendo PlayStation. Seriously this almost feels like it’s not real. It looks like Cloud will have some cool stuff and a meter fill mechanic that when full will boost certain moves with different attributes. The stage looks amazing though. When you look at the trailer they show Square being added to the list of character right holders as if to say “yep that’s another one”. It makes me think that when we see the news in December that list will grow a lot. I can’t wait for my favorite Nintendo character Mickey Mouse and Master Chief to join. In all honesty while Cloud is pretty cool there is something to talk about as far as 3rd party guest characters in fighting games can make the game feel kinda cheap. But that’s something for another time.
