The upcoming new Sims game, The Sims 4, will support installing and creating mods.
According to Maxis, it’s not possible to officially support and review everything to get it working in the game, but it’s important that the community is being helped when modding.
The game will contain a special forum for discussing modding ideas, there will be a special part in the game for mods, you’ll have a special map for saving mods and a document included with the game, listing all mods already installed in the game, so that modders don’t make double items.
The Sims 4 is set to release September 2, 2014 (in North-America).
