THE PUNISHER

In itself, these are some amazing games that combined make up for an even more amazing collection. While I did play most of them in the old days, I never got around to actually owning them all. In the past few years, while buying retro games to fill up the collection, I have been lucky enough to add some of the Playstation 1 games, but some have remained elusive and quite obviously, those got played first as I did have pretty recent experience with some of them. One of the games I truly loved, The Punisher, a game similar to the Double Dragon/Kunio brawlers and boy, did I enjoy playing this one. From the picking up of guns to all out using bats to hit my enemies, this game is just one of several that really shone brightly.

I have to say, whether it was The Punisher or one of those VS Street Fighter games, these games surprisingly stood the test of time to a great extent. While these games on PS4, yes, not on the 5, are not crisp and smooth as butter, I love the edgy side of these. Not even talking about the massive museum side to this game, one that could probably fill up an entire bookcase in physical form. The added bonus of having these, it is a true delight.

Now, I Would like to mention one thing, I also had the chance to play this game on Nintendo Switch and it is equally nice, a collection worth buying if you are into fighting games or brawlers like The Punisher game. I am pretty excited that we will get a second collection of these Marvel games soon, at least their evil overlords at Disney should not be able to fuck over these games, right?

In conclusion, MARVEL vs. CAPCOM Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics is well worth the time and money AND effort to really play them. These are some of the better fighters of the golden era of these genres and they are finally available in 1 affordable collection with another one inbound in the future!
