Persona 3 Reload is a captivating reimagining of the genre-defining RPG, reborn for the modern era. Experience the pivotal game of the Persona series faithfully remade with cutting-edge graphics, modernized quality-of-life features, and signature stylish UI. Fully immerse yourself in an emotional, gripping journey with new scenes, character interactions, and additional voiceover. Choose how to meaningfully spend each day through various activities, from exploring the Port Island to forging genuine bonds with beloved characters. Build and command your optimal team to take down otherworldly Shadows and climb closer to the truth.

Persona as a franchise is maybe not full whole mainstream in itself, but for any RPG lover out there, it is like a household name for real. Atlus is one of those companies from Japan that has its own following and its own oddly unusual game series and you just can not but love them. Persona is no exception and when it comes to this game, you will be in for a massive high.

I would say the graphics are stunning, but it would not do it enough justice, most  of the time, it feels like you are watching an actual modern anime and oh yeah, you get your typical battles in between the many cutscenes. I do wish they had somehow changed the passing of time/days, but it is a maybe going to far? I will say, there is a lot of seemingly filler material at first that might mess up your flow a little.

What I would like to say in the same breath, if you liked any of the other ones and have not played the original yet, do buy it, it is a great slow paced RPG as we are used to getting in the franchise. Always great bang for the buck and well, Persona 3 Reload is quite frankly feeling like a brand new experience due to the massive love that went into it.

Like all other Persona mainline games, this is your typical turn by turn RPG, with all the usual mechanics. Like how some enemies have higher or lower resistance to certain attacks, how you get joint attacks at times and how your team better learns to work as an actual team rather than just attack-attack-attack. You will see straight from the start that Persona 3 is more than just a game, it is a full fledged experience.

While I personally consider P5 the better game, I did very much enjoy Persona 3 Reload and it should be said, aside from getting the review code, I will be buying a physical copy of the game soon. It really is that good to buy myself a second copy. Also worth mentioning for real, Persona games have amazing soundtracks and I have been pondering if I should get a few of them on my upcoming  Japan travel…

In conclusion, Persona 3 Reload is a joy to play and despite some weird cutscenes at first, it all gradually moves into the main storyline and before you know it, you are fighting the cause!
