Recap: Nintendo Direct: Partner Showcase – February 2024

No traditional Nintendo Direct this month but a Partner Showcase instead. Did you miss the show? Time for a recap!

The showcase started with Grounded, the first of four Xbox Game Studios that is coming to Nintendo Switch! A great opener for this partner showcase without a doubt. Releasing April 16th!.

Next up is Ender Magnolia. A dark-looking adventure set in a dystopian future. Looks interesting and reminded me of Castlevania a bit. Releasing later this year.

Pretty fast in the showcase was a hype reel with some smaller puzzle and strategy games.

Monster Hunter Stories returns to Nintendo Switch. This 3DS game comes with voice support and HD visuals. It looks good! Releasing this Summer as well.

Mickey Mouse takes the stage with another remake. Epic Mickey is coming to the Switch, nothing new but if you haven’t played it, it’s certainly worth it.

Time for Atlus and Shin Megami Tensei V Vengeance with added content.

A bigger reveal so it was time for another hype reel with Star Wars, SouthPark, SwordArt Online, and Gundam Breaker 4.

Super Monkey Ball Banana Rumble is a brand-nem Super Monkey Ball game coming exclusively to Nintendo Switch with over 200 new courses and an online mode with up to 16 players!

World of Goo 2 also got revealed, a long-awaited sequel that’s finally happening.

Fantasy Life i is a brand-new game in the fun franchise, another perfect fit for the Nintendo system.

Another Crab’s Treasure made a return and I’m still pretty hyped to play the cutest SoulsLike adventure ever.

Some more games like Penny’s Big Breakaway, Suika Game gets a paid multiplayer DLC, Pepper Grinder, Pocket Card Jockey: Ride On!

We also saw some other games in a quick reel, Pentiment being the most important reveal there, that’s two out of the four Xbox games coming to Switch!

Last but not least, we got two more announcements. The first one is a game coming to Nintendo Switch Online from Rareware! Classic Rareware games or coming to the system and are available today!

The last announcement was the rumored Endless Ocean Luminous, no remake but a brand-new game in the relaxing franchise with online support.
