Review: House Flipper 2

As a homeowner myself, I love to watch television shows based around selling houses, remodeling houses, and everything in between. So when House Flipper 2 dropped in our digital inbox, I jumped the gun – instead of a home – and went all out with making the perfect house for the clients. Were you interested in houses? Well, you will be after this review; let’s dive in!

House Flipping?

Flipping is a real estate investment strategy where an investor purchases a property intending to sell it for a profit rather than use it. Investors who flip properties concentrate on buying and reselling one or a group of properties. Many investors attempt to generate a steady flow of income by engaging in frequent flips. So, how do you flip a building or house? The key is to buy low and sell high. But rather than adopt a buy-and-hold strategy, completing the transaction as quickly as possible is essential. This limits the time that your capital is at risk. In general, the focus should be on speed instead of maximum profit. That’s because each day costs you more money in mortgage, utilities, property taxes, insurance, and other costs associated with homeownership.

However, the flipping plan often comes with several pitfalls. Any profit you make is typically derived from price appreciation resulting from a hot real estate market in which prices rise rapidly, capital improvements are pushed to the property, or both. For example, an investor might purchase a fixer-upper in a hot neighborhood, make substantial renovations, and then offer it at a price that reflects its new appearance and amenities.

House Flipper 2:

So, what’s House Flipper 2? Well, the sequel to House Flipper, for starters. But luckily, it’s more than the eye meets. House Flipper 2 is a simulation game developed by Frozen District and Empyrean. You get to flip real estate by cleaning up and restoring houses. Players can play through a campaign in which they are given specific tasks to complete. These must be met in sequence and are accompanied by a story. Assembly mode allows players to manually build and install items in the house instead of simply clicking them. This rewards players with discounts on purchases. Sandbox mode permits players to design a house from scratch instead of renovating a pre-made house.

House Flipper 2 introduces new mechanics and revamps the ones from the original game. The good old hammer, the trusty paint roller, and the sturdy mop await your return! The new visuals make our fixer-uppers look as crisp as never before! It doesn’t matter if you’re a makeover veteran or only starting – you’ll feel at home in no time! I have two left hands (which means I can’t do much around the house), so it felt like quite an accomplishment to do the things I did in House Flipper 2.

Modes:

Story mode focuses mainly on the new area. Between the mountaintops and the endless sea lies the town of Pinnacove. A place where time slows down and the friendly residents are ready to entrust you with their homes. It sends you on a quest to find out about the stories. Your old pal Tom, who knows everybody in the neighborhood, will gladly share local knowledge. This leads to you cleaning out the room of an overstayed roommate, packing boxes for a lady who’s too lazy to do it herself, and fixing up many fabulous places.

The new Sandbox mode is a fantastic addition to HF2, fulfilling a need from HF1. The ability to build and playtest different builds is excellent. Creating custom jobs, sharing them on MOD.io, and enjoying the community’s astonishing creations improve the game. It’s a beautiful way for the community to come together.

Conclusion:

I recommend House Flipper 2 because of its enjoyable story, graphics, and potential for growth. However, I firmly believe essential additions should come through free updates, not just DLCs. I understand that the development team worked very hard on this game and deserves to be paid for their work, but the current price should offer more assets and expected features than the game’s first version. I am excited for future DLCs, hoping for the return of pets, farming, luxury items, and a more immersive story. Although the game is fun and beautiful, it lacks certain aspects and needs more assets and a deeper storyline (compared to its predecessor). In short, the game offers a lot, but more improvement is required.
