After the impressive Xbox showcase, it’s time for Ubisoft to showcase what they got in store for us. Missed the event? Time for a recap!
We start the event with Just Dance as part of the Olympic Esports. Of course, there’s a Just Dance 2024 edition with 40 new songs to dance the night away.
Moving on, it’s time to dive into the world of Avatar Frontiers of Pandora. As a fan of the movies, I love how true to the universe the game looks. The hero of the game is trained by humans, which will come in handy during combat and gun fights. Frontiers is an open-world first-person game and I’m convinced it’s going to be a lot of epic fun. We see a nice variation of brutal combat and free exploration in the new gameplay trailer. James Cameron is working on the game together with Ubisoft, unveiling new sides of Pandora and a new story. The game is releasing December 7th and supports online co-op!
XDefiant takes the stage and as you might know from the closed beta, the game is shaping up to become a great competitive online first-person shooter. The game is launching this Summer and an open beta is coming later this month.
Time for some Prince of Persia The Lost Crown. As we’ve seen during the Summer Game Fest, this entirely new entry takes the franchise back to its 2D action-adventure Metroidvania roots with an impressive 2.5D game including tricky platform segments and a lot of big bosses to take down. The game releases on January 18, 2024.
Let’s move over to Captain Laserhawk A Blood Dragon Remix. Not a game but an animated show. Streaming on Netflix this Fall.
Time for The Division Resurgence, another Ubisoft original., time for some tactical combat in this trailer:
Skull and Bones is back and is introduced with a live band that certainly set the tone. During the song, we saw the long-announced game in action once again. It looks good but I’m still in doubt how this will compete with Sea of Thieves, time will tell for sure! A closed beta is running this August.
Always wanted to be an Assassin? Welcome to Assassin’s Creed Nexus VR! It looks like a truly immersive experience for Meta Quest.
Of course, Assassin’s Creed Mirage is the one we’ve all been waiting for. It’s a homage to the original and looks amazing. This one releases on October 12.
