PlayStation aired its newest State of Play showcasing several new announcements. Missed the show? Time for a recap!
We start off the presentation with a Resident Evil 4 promo, coming in march 24, 2023 and it was looking like a full blown next gen version of the game. (VR2 content is also incoming)
Talking about VR2, 4 games were showncased in this State of Play, Resident Evil Village was shown first, followed by The Walking Dead: Saints and Sinners. Third game shown was No Man’s Sky and fourth game for VR2 did look the most interesting to me personally, the title called Horizon VR: Call of the Mountain, a PS VR2 exclusive.
Several updates to existing games were up next, Horizon Forbidden West updates are out now!
Spidey is coming to PC!
Annapurna showed off their new game where a cat takes center stage, can we agree already that this will be the GOTY when it releases? Stray is set for July 19. Free for PS Plus members too!
Another zombie/jump scare game for those still into this genre, haha, pardon my sarcasm. The Callisto Protocol does look promising.
Next up is Rollerdrome, a really cool looking game with the style of graphics you would not expect in this genre.
A game that really caught my eye, Eternights, is out next year! I love this anime style.
Next up, Capcom is showing off its newest fighting game and the atmosphere is unlike previous Street Fighter games, it is really impressive and that music!!! Street Fighter 6, coming to PS5 and PS4 next year.
September 27, Tunic will be coming to Playstation at last. Currently a timed exclusive on xbox and available on Game Pass if you can not wait to play! Gaming Boulevard reviewed and loved this game!
Another indie called SEASON:
Final Fantasy 16 got a new trailer as well.
And that’s a wrap! Considering the time of year, it being almost E3 “season”, I wonder how quickly after this State of Play we will have another one already!
