Out of the box

The Oivo charging station comes in a neat little box including the station and a power adapter. It’s nothing really special but everything is packed pretty nicely and you have access to the station in mere seconds. Once taken out, the design of the charging station really stands out thanks to its futuristic white design which really blends in nicely with the PlayStation 5’s overall design. It feels like the charging station is part of the console instead of just a cheap imitation. If you place this charging station next to the system itself, it really feels like it’s part of the main console line, which of course is a big plus.

Aside from that, the charging station comes with some fun little extras such as breathing lights while charging and a useful on/off switch. Since you’re using this one with a power adapter, it’s nice to have this on/off switch to save some power when you’re not actively using it. The power adapter uses the USB-c connection but it’s advised to only use the adapter with this charging station since it’s specifically created for it. So the look and feel of this charging station certainly fit in perfectly with the PS5 but how well does it perform?

Great and fast charging

As you can see on the images, the charging station holds up to two DualSense controllers which fit in nicely on the charging station. Due to the anti-slip materials, your controllers are safely inserted into the charging station and begin charging in mere seconds. What I like most about the charging itself is the speed, which is drastically higher than charging your controllers using the PlayStation 5 console itself. In just a couple of hours, my controllers were fully charged and ready to use, which is a big plus during lengthy gaming sessions. The charger does exactly what it promises to do without any hidden features or hiccups. It’s a pretty straightforward piece of hardware but thanks to its fast charging and solid design, it’s certainly worth considering if you’re on the market for a new charging station.

To conclude, the Oivo charging station does exactly what it promises to do, it’s a fast charging station at a lower cost and is definitely exactly what you need if you’re looking for a way to easily and quickly charge your DualSense controllers.
