Do you know what would happen if you got Line Rider but added a 3D element? Probably something like Bonito Days. Oke, maybe we should add some marble madness as well.
Experience chill summer vibes, relax to a City Pop inspired soundtrack, and take to the sun filled skies with friends in these Bonito Days.
I must applaud the developers for that resume since it perfectly summarizes what Bonito Days is about. You are about to be transported back to lazy summer days and less stressful times alone or with up to 4 friends. But then, it’s time to master the momentum-based rolling and gliding controls and spread the chill vibes in more than 20 colorful levels over five sun-drenched environments.
Bonito Days
Bonito Days are all about rolling, gliding, and scoring points. Everyone who has ever played the ‘Flying Chicken’ minigame from The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess will feel right at home. I also mentioned Line Rider for the older readers since the game functions in the same sort of manner. Gain momentum by rolling of a slope and fly and glide as far as you can. Then make a most gracious landing on one of the ‘scoreboards’ to gain points and make the run count.
To make the game, even more, feel like a ‘racing’ game, its levels are divided into cups (just like Mario Kart), spanning over a total of 5 different worlds:
- Lazy summer beaches of Temaki Sands
- Overgrown cityscape of Maple City
- Chill bubbling rapids of Konichiwa Falls
- Glistening ice caps of Narwhal Station
- Sugar rush inducing Pudding Valhalla
Gameplay
They look vibrant and colorful but need some more explanation before you can make the most of it. Sure, the game offers a tutorial, but Bonito Days are more trial and error than skill-based. Once you get the hang of it, the levels blow by like a breeze of air. If you want to relax, you can fire up the ‘Target Test’ and ‘Sweet Rush’ modes even more. Soar through the open skies collecting sweets, capturing powerups, uncovering hidden routes, and top it off with a perfect landing. For these bonnie fish, the goal is not winning but enjoying the great weather, chill vibes, and relaxing days while they last.
Conclusion
So, to conclude! Bonito Days are all about minimalistic values and relaxation. If you need to take your mind of a busy day at work or are in a bit darker place due to the COVID pandemic, this might be right up your alley. So, gather up some roommates, housemates, or family members and soar through the sky. It’s not the best out there, but it’s fun flying with … a fish?
