In this review, I will be talking about my experience playing as the cute Wutai ninja Yuffie. A character that’s mostly entertaining and a little oblivious at times as well. She is the boss of the two-man team, her and Sonon, a male ninja. In the game, you will basically only really control Yuffie and aside from special attacks, Sonon is just an aid in battle. He is handy to have around and he does put in the work.

Yuffie and Sonon are on a mission to steal the ultimate materia and that leads them to intertwine their stories with Avalanche even though there is no real interaction between them, you do see them throughout the short period needed to finish the added content. I played for around 4 hours and I loved every second of it. Good to know, the save games are separate from your main game and I would recommend finishing it beforehand as there are spoilers if you did not.

The gameplay is actually more of what I called one of the best games of the previous few years. Even though Yuffie is mostly a physical fighter, materia allows you to bring more attacks to her arsenal and it is always your choice what you set her up to be. With the short amount of playtime in this content, there are just a few weapons and you can never really master them all unless you end up replaying one of both chapters.

Graphically, this game looks just like you’d expect it to look, it looks crisp and I have to say it did not disappoint. I like the fading out on purpose and the incredibly detailed fighting scenes. The soundtrack is marvelous as well, I loved the game on PS4, this new content is just as nice in my book.

What I probably hate the most about this game, is that it is currently unfinished. I like it so much, I just want the whole enchilada. Not just a part, but the whole deal. I want to go to battle for real. I get the whole thing about splitting things up so we can get more and more gameplay when it becomes available.

In conclusion, more Final Fantasy VII for me, please.
