Dungeon of Clay is a game that starts off great, but then it hits you. Literally, you will feel the most annoying thing about this game while playing. Once you get to this twin-stick side-scrolling shooter, you get to see the other side of the game. A more than decent shooter, fun levels so far and well, it is not intense or incredibly hard or so. Well, maybe on your hands as the vibration function is going crazy the entire time and no, I could not turn it off. The function in the settings was turned off.
Now I can hear you think, but man, this is something you can look past, surely no?
I would, but at the end of the level, there is this wheel of fortune-style wheel spinning and at that time, the switch goes all nuts. For a full 5 seconds, your switch goes into overdrive and I just felt like this was not what was intended. Especially not when I hit that repeat “prize” which set it off for another 5 seconds and that was when I put down the game and uninstalled it. I just could not live with this.
In conclusion, once they fix this issue, this game will be a fun experience for lovers of the genre, but for now, I am praying my Switch survived the damn game….
