Welcome to our review of the Atelier Mysterious Trilogy Deluxe Pack, consisting of Atelier Sophie, Atelier Firis, and Atelier Lydie & Suelle.
Atelier Sophie: As a novice alchemist, Sophie tries to hone her skills and tackle synthesis based on Plachta’s words. As Sophie gains knowledge about synthesis from acquiring new recipes, gathering materials in field exploration, and synthesizing new items, the memories of alchemy and Plachta will be restored.
Atelier Firis: Together with Sophie and Plachta, the two alchemists who she meets by chance, Firis ventures to the outside world and learns alchemy from Sophie.
In order to take the official alchemy license exam in a year, she must search for “licensed alchemists” in the towns and villages she visits, practice her alchemy skills, complete tasks, and collect recommendation letters.
Atelier Lydie and Suelle: Twin sisters Lydie and Suelle are two novice alchemists. One day, after finding a mysterious painting, they become closer to turning their dream of running the best atelier in the country into reality. Hone your alchemy skills by exploring the world inside the paintings, collecting ingredients through gathering and defeat monsters to gain rare ingredients. By completing various quests and tasks, aim to increase the Atelier Rank to make the atelier the best in the country.
It is important to know that when you start up any of the Atelier games, that you are in for a special kind of treatment. Atelier games are very niche and despite my personal enjoyment of them, I can safely say they are not for everyone. They are incredibly cute (kawaii) and very special. In this pack, you are getting 3 games for the price of one and a half basically.
I have to say that I enjoy these games, not just because they are incredibly cute. Atelier games are more of a good feeling kind of game, rather than a cutthroat experience. It all feels very casual and even the “combat” in the Atelier games are very laid back. Though they can get very serious, but all in all, they are just a fun, great-looking RPG with a more than decent music score to back it up.
Now the elephant in the room, how is the price factor into this collection? I mean it is more than your normal 1 score game, but it brings 3 very similar games for 90 euros. I personally think it is a hard nut to swallow if you are not familiar with the games, I would rather recommend a single game purchase unless you want to take a leap into the dark?
In conclusion, the Atelier Mysterious Trilogy Deluxe Pack is a tough one to really rate, 3 more than decent enough games out now for PlayStation 4, a big price on the other hand. If we are talking content, this is an easy 7.5 so that ended up being the score I wanted to give.
