Kaira Pro x Game Pass
The moment you take this beauty out of its box, it’s clear that this headset is designed for Xbox and Microsoft users, sporting the same black and green as the console itself. Of course, it wouldn’t be a Razer product without some fancy Chroma RGB Lights so you’ll find those on both sides of the headset’s cups, making it pop even more. What’s more impressive about the headset is the fact that it is created with Game Pass in mind. As we all know by now, Game Pass is a rather powerful service in combination with Xbox Cloud Gaming, enabling you to carry on your Xbox adventure to different platforms such as mobile phones, tablets, and PCs. Although it’s a dream of a service, a lot of gamers weren’t happy with the lack of compatible hardware, especially a headset. Remember trying to use that Xbox headset on your mobile device? There aren’t a lot of headsets that do this without some extra accessories but the Kaira Pro is one of them. Since the headset uses both the Xbox Wireless connection and BlueTooth 5.0 technology to connect, you can instantly enjoy it on your favorite platform. If you’re playing your Xbox game on your Xbox, PC, or mobile devices, you’ll never have any issue connecting the headset to it, which is a huge plus and an incredible selling point for Game Pass owners.
We all know that Game Pass in combination with Xbox Cloud Gaming is the future, enabling Xbox gamers to play their games everywhere they go. Since the Kairo Pro is specifically designed for Xbox players, Razer even thought about that! Even on the go, you’ll want to play and talk with your friends online, in order to do so, you’ll need a decent microphone that blocks out the environmental noises. In comes the detachable Supercardioid mic which can be inserted into the headset instantly. Of course, you can also use the built-in Bluetooth microphone but compared to the detachable version, I don’t really see the point of using it. Yes, the headset comes with two microphones but since the quality of the detachable one is extremely superior, you’ll probably always use that one, which makes perfect sense of course! That being said, it’s impressive to see how well created this headset is and how future-proof it is for Xbox gamers.
What about the sound?
The Kairo Pro ticks all boxes when it comes to design and compatibility with how Xbox sees gaming and its future, but what about the sound itself? Well, it sounds like a decent headset in this price range should sound. I have better headsets at home to enjoy my music and compared to those, the Kaira Pro obviously sounds less impressive, but I’m not using that one to listen to my music. While playing games on my Xbox Series X, I did enjoy the sound of the Kaira Pro as it was as clear as advertised. It also does a more than decent job hitting those higher pitches and lower trembles, but if I could name one thing that’s missing, it’s a deeper bass.
A deeper bass means more impact in games filled with explosions and gunfire, for example, something I missed while using the Kaira Pro. In order to alter this, you can use the EQ-preset button to switch between four presets, one including a deeper bass. Of course, this doesn’t make the actual base technology inside the headset any better, it just makes it louder, which comes at the cost of the other tones. Sure, you can enjoy your load explosions, but don’t expect to hear the birds in the forest too. It’s a shame Razer didn’t manage to create a headset where all factors work together and sound like one, instead of being boosted at the cost of other important tones. It might sound a bit harsh but in all honesty, it’s my only main downside since I used the headset for countless hours (that battery is extremely impressive too) and really enjoyed using it. For its price, it’s more than decent but if you’re looking for the perfect sound, I’m guessing you’ll have to spend a bit more

You can easily enjoy this headset on your Xbox console, mobile device, and PC without any connection issues. It’s the perfect headset to enjoy your Xbox games everywhere you go. Of course, for its price, it’s clear that you can’t expect flawless sound but what you do get is a more than a decent headset, which lacks some deep bass at moments but performs extremely well globally speaking. If you’re an Xbox gamer, this probably is one of the better headsets currently on the market.
