After all those months of waiting, it was finally time for a completely new Nintendo Direct, but what got announced? Check it out in our special summary.
We immediately go straight into the action with the first title of today, Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is getting the spotlight with the disappearance of Pyra as she is now joining Super Smash Bros Ultimate! A rather unexpected move and most truly a great and befitting fighter to join the roster! Her and Mythra are the newest additions as well as many other Xenoblade Chronicles themed items. Out in March!
Shinya Takahashi takes the center stage next, starting off by acknowledging it has been a while since the last full fledged Direct and he thanks us for joining in. He then cuts to Fall guys, the hit game is finally coming to Nintendo Switch, the rumours had been going hard, coming this summer 2021.
Next game being announced is Outer wilds, another great classic is now also joining the library of our beloved console. Also out this coming summer.
Next up, the Famicom detective club games are being localised in English and finally coming to the west. These games have been updated for Switch and are of the visual novel genre. Famous in Japan and now available soon, 14th of May!
Samurai Warriors 5 is the next one being shown. Koei Tecmo brings us this new game featuring one of Japans history biggest name of Nobunaga. Out later this year!
Legend of Mana is also coming to the Nintendo Switch, after previously bringing us the Mana collection, this classic is next. Out June 24.
Monster Hunter Rise is the next game getting its time in the spotlight, Previously announced, this Capcom classic franchise got some serious time in the spotlight with amazing graphics, out next month!
After a short interlude by Shina Takahashi, Mario Golf is up next, the first real Mario golf game in a long while and it was presented as a slightly more technical game, which I personally applaud. The ability to play the game with the joycon as your golf club, that looks awesome and a must try! Out on June 25, Mario Golf Super Rush! I look forward to the multiplayer modes.

Next up is an RPG called Project Triangle Strategy, the game is presented as a 2D game, a more tactical RPG with terrains that have height advantages, long range weapons, … This is one for the fans of the genre! Out in 2022 by Square Enix and as we have become used of this, they will have a demo out now for feedback.
A short reel for Staar Wars Hunters is shown, out in 2021.
A new multiplayer game is announced as a sort of Battle Royale game, where you basically play a game of dodgeball, called Knockout City.
From the creators of Danganronpa, their newest game is coming to Nintendo Switch, World’s End club is out later this year
A physical release for the game Hades is announced! March 19th!
Ninja Gaiden Sigma collection is announced for Nintendo Switch, these three classics are coming from Koei Tecmo and will land on the Switch on june 10.
More battles are coming to Hyrule Warriors Age of Calamity. New DLC was just announced for this amazing musou game and it will be made available soon!

Back to Shinya Takahashi who presents the next game, but he passes the baton to Aonuma, the creator of Zelda, who hopes to bring more information of the Breath of the Wild 2 game later this year. But he does also give us more Zelda love in the shape and form of Skyward Sword HD, 10 years after its original release, the new version will have both buttons and physical control schemes. Out July 16 and new joy-con as well!
Then the final announcement of the Direct, I called it, I said it was time and here it is, Splatoon 3, the third game in this amazing series. Sadly this has a date of 2022.
