Kill it with fire, a phrase often used when pointing out a spider to someone with arachnophobia. Well, this game encompasses that feeling perfectly. Are you the type of person that would put your house on fire just to get rid of these pests or are you a spider loving person, wondering what’s going on in the head of someone who needs to kill every spider they encounter? This game is just right for both of you!
Kill It With Fire is basically a first-person shooter game. However, the objective is to kill spiders. You can accomplish this in an amazingly big variety of ways. You can use whatever is at your disposal. Want to throw a book at it? Sure! Want to MacGyver a makeshift flamethrower? Perfect! How about shooting it? Why not? It’s all possible.
The devs did an amazing job with the mechanic that the spiders can clamp on to stuff. When you go to pick up a book and a spider jumps off from the backside of it is a great little scare that just makes you want to kill them even more. The game also plays and responds very smoothly and doesn’t really feel as clunky as most games in this style tend to be.
How about replayability you might ask? Well, this game lets you choose how to handle the situation so every time you play can be somewhat different. Other than that they give some great challenges which sometimes unlock even more ways to kill. All this combined with the power-ups that you gain by playing makes it really fun to just lose yourself into for a while.
I had a ton of fun playing this game. Don’t get me wrong this isn’t the game that you will play every night from now on for the next year. But, it’s really fun to have in your library and to just have some fun whenever you need to relieve some stress.
