Adopt a dog at the Vet Center from 4 different breeds, Maltese, Shiba Inu, Staffordshire Bull Terrier, and mutt. Train and play with your dog to form a strong bond. Your dog is your wingman and together meet the cute singles in Rainbow Bay. The dogs your love interests can have are Samoyed, Pomeranian, Golden Labrador guide dog, Italian Greyhound, Australian Shepherd, and German Shepherd.
If you think the game is going to play like Nintendogs you are mistaken because it plays like your average dating sim with some doggo spices added. Fill in your profile details by signing up to Woofr, a dating site for “people who love dogs who love people who love dogs”, and completing a questionnaire to find your perfect match. The game has some funny, quirky and silly writing which I really enjoyed.
Can you pet the dog?
During conversations, your dog is on the bottom of your screen at any time, like a webcam. When in conversation your dog will try to escape and you have to pull him back, have to pet him because it got spooked and of course clean up its mess. But you can also just pet the dog non-stop because you can.
The dog has different stats, satiation, hydration, mood, energy, and hygiene. For instance, to raise the hygiene of your dog you can wash your dog. This is done by tapping a button repeatedly to squeeze the shampoo and holding the button and moving the stick around to rub the dog. Then move around the hose to wash the dog off. Food and water are given by putting the water/food into the bowl and giving it to your dog.
Your dog also has character traits. These are manners,
sociability, trust, smarts, fitness, and energy. These depend on which dog you choose from the vet center but the trait can be leveled up by doing activities to gain BP (Bork Points) so no worry. Schedule your activities carefully to raise the dog of your dreams. The activities play out by them selfs and raise the stats from that specific event.
The game has voice acting but they only say some one-lines which is kinda a shame but understandable. The game looks and plays otherwise like any other dating sim so if you are used to this genre of games then you’ll feel at home.
Conclusion
If you are not a fan of dating sim games this game is not the game that will win you over. What it does do is offer a fun dating game with a dog raising and caring aspect to it. So if you like the dating sim game you’ll enjoy this one.
