In these dark times it’s nice to know what we can look forward to. And Nintendo delivered!
Nintendo has curated a vast amount of good indie games to look forward to and with some of the timed exclusives it’s a good time to be part of the Switch family!
Titles like Sky and Blue Fire really raise the bar in terms of what indies are nowadays! Visually these games look amazing and reminded me of the better Zelda games mixed with some magic only indie games can deliver!
Baldo is a real piece of art if you’re into mysterious Anime Action RPG. This Italian game promises to fill in the void of oldschool anime fans with an artistic style that reminds us of the shows we grew up with. It’s another timed exclusive coming to the hybrid console this summer! We hope the team and their families are OK and can continue soon in good health!
I Am Dead is probably the most mysterious timed exclusive game that has some point and click elements and where you are a ghost sneaking and spying on the island of Shelmeston. The colorful style contradicts the theme a bit but it’s a fun twist we’re looking forward to.
B.ARK is a pixelated 2D side-scrolling space shooter that heavily focuses on co-op but with a competitive salsa slammed onto it. Fight the invaders with your family!
Cyanide and Happiness join the realm of Switch games with their wacky “Freakpocalypse”.
It looks like it borrows some elements from South Park’s last games but it’s a bit soon to speculate about this right now. If it’s like the rest of their creations we will have a lot of good guilty fun!
If you’re longing for more ocean exploration you’ll be happy to hear “Summer in Mara” is coming to your Switch! In spring 2020 that is! You can farm, explore and discover secrets on the different islands!
Quantum League is the most original game I’ve seen in a while and it blends time travel and causalities into competitive shooter gameplay that isn’t just mindlessly blowing foes apart! We are dying to see it in action! This is how we innovate gaming!
Always dreamed of working hard to pay of your debt but also turning into a cat or dog at night to solve mysteries? Well The Good Life has you covered. And if you’re into sheep riding you’ll be all ears for this game!
Hello Games, from the ambitious No Man’s Sky brings us The Last Campfire. A game that looks less ambitious at first sight but is more about emotional depth and delivering a strong emotionally driven narrative about hope with puzzle elements.
Fancy some techno? Well Pixel Junk Eden 2 is a trippy game to say the least and looks like the perfect game to relax and enjoy some beats on the go! Don’t forget your headphones.
Faeria is a strategic card game with lot’s of effects and cards to collect. PvP and co-op are the focus and on Switch you’ll get 4 cosmetic packs for free. We’re proud of this Belgian production!
Eldest Soul is a pixelated but amazing looking game where you slay Gods and unlock new moves along the way. Time your moves right to advance and be more effective!
A lot more is coming like Blair Witch and the brain teasing Superliminal amongst others!
To end and top it off with a bang Devolver is throwing “Exit the Gungeon” to challenge the speed of our fingers in this past paced 2D shooter where you will… die a lot if you don’t pay attention! It’s a fun narrative all about gunplay in every sense of the word and we’re looking forward to draw ours in the Gungeon!
A strong line up for the Switch with loads of exclusives and games that redefine the some genres. Not bad for indies! Next up are the triple A productions. Let’s hope they’ll be as strong as this reveal!
