Straimium Immortality is a game that is hard to love and easy to hate. Faced with rather weird controls and a surprisingly harsh approach to the genre of roguelites, Straimium Immortaly is anything but a game I enjoyed. At times I felt like the game was so unbalanced, that it just got thrown onto the market without any form of basic testing.
I know opinions are highly personal, heck, I am one of the very few people out there that enjoys Warcraft 3 Reforged and I know how popular this game has been on steam. I just can not find myself in that high score as I found the game to be lacking in many aspects. Maybe I have become too demanding, but I honestly feel like this game just fell short.
So as this is a game on Switch, I can say that on the positive side, it boots up rather quickly and I am sure that for a shorter amount of time, this may be well worth the price, just that it did not click with me. I often found the weapons to be underpowered compared to the enemies I faced. I am sure you are not supposed to hit a tiny foe 4 times before you take him out all the way at the very first part of your playthrough and at other times, I was so deep into the game that I felt impossible to beat.
The lack of balance, the dull controls and basic lack of anything to attract your attention… This is how I would describe this game on a personal level. Not all is bad, just that I can not find myself in this game. Flying around, shooting enemies and finding your way ’round things is usually fun, Straimium Immortaly was no such thing for me.
In conclusion, Straimium Immortaly failed to impress or even entertain in the slightest.
